It was all
a dream.
ORTU - NOUN MEANING ‘RISING’
SOLIS - SPANISH NAME DERIVED FROM THE LATIN SOL, MEANING ‘SUN’
At ORTU SOLIS, we don’t dress children for the season — we dress them for the story.
Each garment is made to carry beyond the moment it’s bought, holding up to growth, adventure, and everyday living.
These aren’t clothes designed to disappear. They’re stitched to withstand years of wear, then step into new hands, new homes, new memories. Jackets that gather patina like old friends, trousers that only strengthen in motion, tees that earn their character through the lives they touch.
Our promise is simple: no fast cycles, no throwaways. Just garments with weight, with history, with purpose. Real clothes, for real kids, meant to last long after the first owner grows out of them.
Nicole Lilian, the founder, became a mother in 2023 and, with over a decade of experience in the luxury fashion and interior industry across styling and creative direction, was confronted with the harsh realities of children’s clothing. She found it flooded with overpriced, low-quality garments that don’t stand the test of time, contribute heavily to environmental pollution, and perpetuate a culture of waste.
Drawing from both her professional expertise and her personal experience of motherhood, Nicole envisioned a brand that would not only offer better alternatives but also inspire families to be part of a movement — one that goes beyond consumerism and reconnects with the values of sustainability, longevity, and responsibility.
Thus, ORTU SOLIS was born: a symbol of hope, renewal, and a fresh start. We are here for the new generation of parents and children who want to make a difference.
ORTU SOLIS is about consuming less, but with more intention. It’s about embracing a “make-do-and-mend” mindset, rethinking sizing, and considering the full lifecycle of clothing — not just the moment it leaves the store.
A new era of conscious living. A fresh start for our planet. A new dawn for children’s fashion.
Let’s make the change together.
